Metal shield removed
The frame buffer module (with VRAM), 12 SIMM slots, Ethernet address PROM, and the firmware word-wide memory devices are socketed. All other chips and modules are solderred onto the board. Power is fed towards the rear left of the picture. The single 4-pin power connector feeds all internal disks above the board, above the metal shield (removed).
